EXPERIENCE + EXPERTISE Justin has decades of experience in the industry, which has served him well. “I was lucky enough to have been the sole employee of a small business owner who was an expert in residential concrete replacement.

I spent most of my 20s and 30s learning directly from him before he eventually retired from the profession,” explains Justin. “I draw upon this knowledge all the time, and it has served me very well.” This invaluable experience has been the cornerstone of his career and serves as the bedrock of the quality and craftsmanship his clients can expect.

THE START OF A BUSINESS Justin’s business started organically back in April 2020. That’s when he poured a small concrete sidewalk for a neighbor just a few houses down from his.

“He decided to recommend my services on Nextdoor, and I was able to spend the rest of the season working for people right in my own neighborhood. I don’t think I had to drive on a freeway once that entire summer. It was great!”

Although Justin never really planned on owning his own business, he’s glad it happened. “I’ve embraced it,” he reflects. He welcomed the opportunity that presented itself and built his business around a fundamental principle– a relentless focus on quality. Justin understands that concrete is a significant investment for homeowners, and he believes that they deserve something that not only looks great but also lasts for generations.

TACKLING PROJECTS OF ALL SORTS Justin and his team at Concrete Revisions tackle a wide range of projects, from concrete beautification to complete removal and replacement. This process typically involves meticulous steps like removing the existing dirt, adding gravel, reshaping the area, and incorporating reinforcement like rebar before pouring the concrete. Ensuring the proper slope and paying meticulous attention to detail are hallmarks of their work. The dedication to quality is unwavering, with a singular goal in mind– to make sure the concrete lasts for generations to come.

Projects of varying sizes, from smaller ones that take three days to more extensive undertakings spanning several weeks, all share the same commitment to excellence. Justin is not only confident in his work, but genuinely loves what he does. With over 20 years of experience, he derives immense satisfaction from meeting diverse homeowners and helping them transform their concrete spaces into something remarkable.

ADVICE FOR OTHERS – PROTECT YOUR CONCRETE Justin has some advice for readers about their concrete, especially emphasizing the importance of protective measures for concrete. He advises homeowners to consider the role of gutters in safeguarding concrete against movement during freeze-thaw cycles. Furthermore, he cautions against the use of salt or ice melt on concrete, as these substances can lead to corrosion. Instead, he recommends using sand for added traction on icy surfaces.

A TANGIBLE IMPACT One of the most fulfilling aspects of Justin’s work is the visible impact it has on his community. He cherishes the sight of people enjoying their new concrete patios or walking up their freshly constructed front steps. As he says, “It’s really satisfying to know my hard work has made a visible impact on my community.”

Recently, he did some concrete work for a local bed and breakfast, who thanked him many times for his hard work and the finished results.

BECOMING A LEADER Justin is proud of who he has become and the leadership role has in the concrete industry, transitioning from employee to business owner. This new role has provided him with the opportunity to share his knowledge and expertise with others. Concrete Revisions isn’t just about concrete; it’s about the connections it forges, the sense of community it builds, and the lasting quality it imparts.

Driving around the neighborhood and witnessing his work everywhere, Justin Betland feels a sense of pride and fulfillment. Concrete Revisions is more than a business; it’s about joy making a tangible difference in the world.
